Andrés Marín's pieces do not try to address reality, but the truth, a deeper and more essential way to touch the foundation. It would be impossible to build a new Alameda due to the literal nature of things.. This exercise, therefore, It does not reside in the shell of the events that one day occurred, but in that poetic truth, suggestive and deep that allows us to caress the marrow of everything that worries from within.

The Alameda de Hércules, in Seville, has a well-known reality: It was the artistic emporium in which singing became stylized between the 19th and 20th centuries., when the kiosks were made of glass, the albero floor and the meetings at the Siete Puertas. DESERT, however, aims to rise as an author's truth. A truth that explores a dormant echo in time. The loneliness of those shadows that lost their statues, all the stillness locked in hinges stained with silence. loneliness, ultimately, understood as a landscape and a state. That branch without wobble or bird, a whistle out of the air, the fence is up and the guy with an entire wasteland behind his back, already leagues and leagues away from the world.

Stockhausen's music also adds to this narrative. Does not penetrate the truth, but rather it surrounds it like a nebula in order to blur it, make it even more unexplorable and inconcrete, as if it were a backdrop. Helplessness screams without mouth or tongue, like oblivion. He does it through movement and its absence. Also through the sallow light, the scenography and in the death rattles of a centuries-old song that remains buried under sighs of albero, that with a sigh he who sighs for another pays, and so the particles piled up. Everything is immensity and question in this desert. a desert, besides, in which the sand is resignified. Andrés Marín does not show it, but it is part of it, following a strange formula in which you have to bite the dust to dream of total aridity.
